I have a ADAU1701 eval board, and when I unplug the USB , I have to "run link compile" to reactivate the ADAU1701
How can I make the ADAU1701 save the data after power down ?
As Coleman said, the EVAL-ADAU1701MINIZ eval board will not retain contents from the SigmaStudio compile/download after removing the USBi-supplied power. This eval board does have an I2C EEPROM which you can enable with the S5 switch.
For information on that self-boot feature, refer to page 6 in the 1701 eval board guide.
Which exact eval board are you using? The only way to accomplish this is by using the EEPROM on the eval board. Use SigmaStudio to send your program to the EEPROM, and then set the eval board for self boot. When you power up the board, the ADAU1701 will get its program from the EEPROM. The ADAU1701 does not have any non-volatile memory of its own.
