I am not able to install a USB driver when I install the software.
Any help would be appreciated.
The answer to this is ,No, it does not run on a Windows 7 machine.
So this older board, part number SSM2603-EVALZ should not be sold anymore. Should someone have purchased one from a distributor in the recent past then contact me directly about a replacement.
The replacement evaluation board is part number: EVAL-SSM2603MINIZ and should be available soon.
This also applies to the SSM2604 evaluation boards.
We are in the process of contacting the distributors to update their stock.
Unfortunately, I do not have an eval board here to try this out. I was able to install the software but without the actual board I cannot go further and test to see if I can find the USB driver. This is not going to be a special driver for the board but a driver for the USB IC on the board. I think it is a TI part on the board. So that would be something you could look into and perhaps there is a driver that would work on 64 bit systems. This board was designed a while back and we are in the process of updating the design. The person who takes care of these eval boards is not in today but I did not want to wait until Monday to answer your inquiry.
Did you get any kind of documentation with the board?
I will let you know when I get more info.
Thanks for the answer, I posted this on behalf of a customer I am working with. I can wait to see what you find out next week.
