I am working on ADSP-21479 processor and I have to decide on the processor booting mechanism. I found out that I have the options of SPI boot or AMI boot. I would like to know what are the major dfifferences between these two methods (other than one being parallel and the other serial) and whether they have any impact on the processor's performance and speed of operation?

Also, if I pick one out of these two methods to load the boot kernal into the processor from external memory, do I need to use the same method to load the application code too? (which is the next step after boot kernal loading)
