After starting with the AD-FMCOMMS5-EVB and the Zynq-7000 ZC706 evaluation boards we want to swap out the FMCOMMS5 board with a custom AD9361 PCB and connect it to the ZC706 using a breakout board. Once the interface is checked out we want to take this one step further and have a few questions.

  1. What issues might occur in ZC706 setup if we use it to control the custom ZIF board but  the data is sent to an EX-IQ box. {Rohde-Shwarz test equipment}
    1. Granted the ZC706 setup would not be able to display the data. So to ask another way “what sort of issues could be expected if we were to use the ZC706 to control a custom board but have the data captured with a test set?”
    2. Is the ZC706 ADI IIO Oscilloscope example application going to work without getting data back?
  2. On schematic  02_038176 rev B. Looking at the FMC connector {connector 1 and 2}, Other than the Port 1 and 2 (data bus, clock, and frame)  signals, are there any crucial signals required for the ADI IIO Oscilloscope example application to function?
    1. Example
      Is the ADI IIO Oscilloscope example application aware of
      • “VADJ”,
      • The
        various signals that starts with “5355”
      • The
        various signals that starts with “CAL_SW” e.g cal_sw_1
      • etc

Thanks, Mike
