Hello to everyone, this is my first post.
I'm designing a power meter (single phase) based on the ADE7753. Typical cirucuit design connects the voltage terminals to the power mains through an attenuator network. This solution needs to fix the potential by wiring the N wire to GND. This leads to some problems where I live, as we can twist the plugs in the wall sockets, actually inverting terminals.
I came up with an alternative solution that allows me to feed the ADE7753 directly a differential signal. I used a network attenuator connected directly to the mains, and then use AD8479 to "buffer" the sensed current flowing through a sense resistor. Please see the attached schematic.
I would like to know if this is a good solution design, and what degree of isolation provides compared to the directly attached power.
