how to set a breakpoint relative to function starting address?

I am using VisualDSP 5.0++ Upgrade 6.  This question has to do with TCL scripting.

The following TCL scripting command is being used to set a breakpoint at line 745 in the 'C' module ModuleA.c:

     dspsetbreak [ lindex [ dsplookupline ModuleA.c 745 ] 0 ]

I am exploring the following options and have not found anything obvious from the IDDE on-line help contents.

     1) dsplookupline to bypass comments from 'C' module (ie, those starting with /* or //)

     2) dsplookupsymbol to return [the function starting address + offset]

I am trying to avoid inserting breakpoint labels throughout the code.  Please help if you can. Thank you in advance!
