The following paragraph discusses the process to compile 1.81RC1 source code for 8005 evaluation hardware. The process is long. Thus it is separated into blocks. Hopefully they can clearly explain what was missing in the release.

We received 1.81RC1 release on 2nd Sepetember 2014 via an email from an ADI Taiwan distributor - forwarding from ADI.
Filename: "ADV8005_VSP_1.81RC1.zip"
Filesize: 5.53 MB (5,802,015 bytes)

ADI distributor in Taiwan recommended VisualDSP++ 5.0 Update 10. We went on trying 3 kinds of environments and concluded VisualDSP++ versions had nothing to do the failure of compilation.
1. VisualDSP++ 5.0 Update 10 on Windows 7 Professional SP1
2. VisualDSP++ 5.0 Update 10 on 32-bit Windows XP Professional SP3
3. VisualDSP++ 5.1 on 32-bit Windows XP Professional SP3.
