AD9361 FMCOMMS3 Receiver performance at 500 MHz carrier frequency

We had recently procured FMCOMM3 board for wide band applications. While testing it was observed that the receive performance  at 500 MHz carrier frequency was bad.

 

The setup we used was the IIO oscilloscope application executed  on Zeboard and FMCOMM3 board. We had used the EVB board for transmitting a LTE signal and the IQ data was captured using the IIO oscilloscope. The captured IQ file was then played back (transmitted ) on the EVB board. Agilent LTE VSA was used to analyse the performance.

 

PS : EVB board was the 1st gen evaluation board for AD9361.

The captured IQ file was then transmitted using the EVB board and found that EVM was very bad. Please refer to the attached screen shot for results of Agilent VSA.(capturedPlay.xps)

Please let us know if we have missed anything.

 

The performance was better at 1 GHz and above.
