we have developed our own hardware using ADV7441A as the Video-Decoder.
we are looking for linux device drivers for the ADV7441A.
Can anyone help us locate these linux drivers?
Why did you choose ADV7441A? It's not recommended for new designs anymore and support is very limited. There are no Linux drivers available from ADI. It's possible someone else has created them though.
We have used this Chip in our previous design with DM6467 to handle DVI Video.
Now we have modified our design to handle HDMI, VGA and CVBS inputs.
We are not exactly in need of a Linux driver. If you have any driver for this chip, we can port that to Linux.
if you can provide us the register setting of ADV7441A for the Inputs mentioned above will also help us.
or Do you have any utility/tools which can generate the register settings ? It will be very helpful if you can give us the tools or Information how to get them.
Ahh-- honestly the best thing I think would be to get the ADV7604 Linux driver that is out there. We didn't write it but it's been used a lot. ADV7604 is one generation newer than ADV7441A but it's very similar. I would then use the scripts on the Design Support Files page for ADV7441A to make any changes needed.
The ADV7441A code we have hasn't been touched in many years-- or kept up to date with scripts.
