we're in our initial development phase and looking for some help in identifying the best part to use for our video application.
Basically the requirements are simple. take in 2 streams of HDMI at 1920x1080 60hz and convert a muxed output into a 24bit digital RGB datastream at high enough frequency (149.5MHz) to be able to drive a high definition lcd at its native resolution of 1920x1080 60hz. i can use an external mux if need be so 2 hdmi input is preferred but not required. Any recommendation for a part would be appreciated.
i looked at ADV7604 but am unclear about some parameters indicated in the datasheet. for example, it states that:
"720p/1080i/1080p/1250i component HDTV support
Digitizes RGB graphics up to 1600 × 1200 at 60 Hz (UXGA)"
then further down in the Video System Clock section it states that
"LLC Frequency Range max is 170MHz"
Is this frequency of the pixel clock? if so, seems to contradict the RGB graphics resolution maximum indicated above.
