ADV7441a TMDS Equalization

I have a 1080p60 DVI source being pumped into the ADV7411a that works well with some external cables over long runs (>15 feet) but loses vertical sync with less than perfect cabling. Lower resolutions work fine, regardless of cabling.

I see in the datasheet that there are equalization settings that can be changed but there are only two recomended settings according to this document. See below.

For TMDS frequencies less than 160 MHz:

• User Map 2, set register 0xF0 to 0x10

• User Map 2, set register 0xF1 to 0x0F

• User Map 2, set register 0xF4 to 0x20

For TMDS frequencies of 160 MHz or greater:

• User Map 2, set register 0xF0 to 0x30

• User Map 2, set register 0xF1 to 0x0F

• User Map 2, set register 0xF4 to 0xA0

Are there any other software settings that can be changed to accommodate for signal integrity issues due to cabling such as described above?

Thanks

Alex
