Has anyone written VHDL only to initialize and drive this chip? Can you provide it? If not, what steps did you take to configure the device for "normal" operation.
No, we don't have anything like that. Though it is possible to do so, it is something that doesn't make sense (to us at least). There is a lot of (100+) registers to program this device -- if you must, you can try running the software and list (use printf) the registers it is accessing.
