I am trying to design a power supply to feed the AD9265-FMC from our own Xilinx board. It looks like 12V is needed. What current is required on that rail?
Based on the data published on the AD9265 FMC wiki page
The power consumption from the 12V rail should be <600mA as the ADP7104 is limited to 500mA and the other additional load is an LED. I doubt the board will consume that much as the 500mA through the ADP7104 would be too much power when generating 5V (7Vx0.5A= 3W). Most likely it will be in the 100-200mA range.
Although most of the FMC design for other EVAL boards are targeting the ability of the FPGA board to deliver 1A at 12V. So you if may want to support other FMC eval board you should design the 12V to provide at least 1A.
