We are considering to use a ADG3308.
It is written Low cost serial interfaces is the target in the data sheet.
Can ADG3308 translate level of I2C?
If ADG3308 doesn't support I2C, please let me know the recommended product.
The ADG3308 uses an internal resistor to ensure the device operates correctly without a feedback loop.
When it is used with an interfacing protocol that requires a pull-up resistor, a resistor divider network is created with the internal resistor and the pull-up resistor. This means that output voltages cannot reach the required values.
So the ADG3008 is recommended for logic level translation solutions that don't involve a pull up resistor.
The ADG3008 is not recommended for I2C applications.
If you are interested in performing a down translation on an I2C interface the ADG324x family of parts may be of use to you.
Thank you for your reply.
I had expected to be able to support the I2C because this product is a bidirectional level translator...
1. Could you teach me why ADG3308 has not been recommended for I2C applications?
2. In addition, can ADG3308 use for level translation between flash ROM?
