Hello, everyone. We're looking to drive down the cost of a particular commercial product we're presently in the process of designing, and my boss's boss talked with me at length about something he called an accelerometer die. According to him, this is equipment that can be used to "press" (his word) out a large number of (I assume uncoated) accelerometers very cheaply. He specifically mentioned analog devices as a source of such equipment. Based on what I know about accelerometer production, this doesn't sound right to me, but does it ring any bells for anyone else?
