The I2C programming examples on page 107 use register 0x0E, bit 7 set to 1 to allow access to registers with addresses higher than 0x40. But the register map shows that bit 5 should be the one used for this purpose. Which one is correct?
Note that there is 3 maps for the ADV7180:
1) User Map
2) User Sub map (Interrupt and VDP registers)
3) Hidden/Undisclosed Map
User Sub map is accessed by writing 0x20 ro register 0x0E
Hidden/Undisclosed map is accessed by writing 0x80 ro register 0x0E
In our recommended scripts we write to the Hidden/Undisclosed map to optimise performance. These writes are required and must be done. We so not disclose details of these writes.
