We noticed that on page 26 of the ADE7880 data sheet, it says Vcm on the analog inputs can be no greater than +/-25mV.

There is no mention of this in the spec table on pg6 so its not immediately obvious.


For an input signal of say 100mV pk-pk with an offset voltage of potentially slightly more than 25mV, electrically its unlikely to damage the part. What effect, if any, would this have on the readings and why is this limit set for  input common mode voltage?
