If we use HMC783LP6CE as VCO, please tell me the following pins handling.
We use only Pin#6 and Pin#38.
Connect to GND? or Open?

Please refer to attached spreadsheet for configuration if using the HMC783LP6CE as a VCO. The part should be soldered down at all pin locations but the pins labeled NC can be left open. As an alternative, Analog Devices offers the HMC515LP5E VCO which has similar performance in a smaller package and would include div / 2 and div / 4 outputs. I've attached the datasheet for your convenience.

You can use just the VCO portion however if the PLL isn't being used it may be wise to power down the unused synthesizer blocks to reduce the potential of digital noise mixing with RF and to conserve current. From the attached picture there's a lot of noise on the VTUNE line (maybe Vcc as well) coming into the device. This is evident by the sidebands that are being induced at about 30MHz. This is the result of FM modulation. You need to have clean voltage on Vtune and Vcc to eliminate this.
