i have my ADIS16480 integrated on a jumping object. How can i calculate height of the object knowing quaternions? Thank you so much!!!
We don't typically provide application-specific algorithms but we have seen quite a bit of research in the area of "heave" sensors, which leverage MEMS IMUs like the ADIS16488 or ADIS16480. This one is a bit dated, but it walks through the basics of sensor performance, all of the way through the calibration and algorithm development process. Note that the gyroscope sensors are ~10x better in the ADIS16480, compared to the ones used in this paper's IMU.
