Yes, this is a for a GSM application.

We would need to select the IF frequency of our receiver.

To figure out what would be the best IF frequency, we would need to know the exact range of the GSMVCO_0 and GSMVCO_2. With a 2, 4 or 8 divider, we would need to have the VCO frequency range inside the difference between the GSM band and our IF frequency. If we know the exact range of the GSMVCO_0 and GSMVCO_2 we would be able to figure out the possible IF frequencies we can use in our design.

Could you please let us know the range of the GSMVCO_0 and GSMVCO_2 ?

We may have an IF frequency near the ADRF6612 IF frequency limit (around 500 MHz).

It seems IF frequency has an impact on the noise figure and the IP3 of the ADRF6612.

Could you please send us an updated datasheet and/or let us know the NF and IP3 of the ADRF6612 at 300, 350, 400, 450 and 500 MHz IF frequency ?

We would actually need the "TBD" graph we have on figures 18 (Input IP3 vs IF Frequency) and 21 (SSB Noise Figure vs IF Frequency) on page 17 of Rev. PrA datasheet.

ADRF6612 data sheet clarifications:

1.Register 0x21 PFD_CTRL1 : Bits[14:13] - 2 bit field but description has 3 bit options

2. What is the difference between Table 23 and 24 : Same title and same contents

3.Table 50 : R1 and R2 are Bias resistors with recommended value of 910 ohms; But where are they in schematic?

4.When will this part be available from distributor (say , in quantities 1-5). After solving problems with samples courtesy of Analog Devices , will I have difficulty in testing few more boards?

These VCOs are currently being characterized. When the characterization is complete, I can let you know what the final frequency ranges are. They will be very narrow band in the 3600MHz to 3800MHz range with no options for wider band tuning. Is this for a GSM application? Can you tell me what the application is for?
