I need to generate a pulse with an amplitude of 28V, <100uSec wide, and have a settable rise and fall time from 20ns to 200nS. Do you have any circuit ideas that can help me solve this problem?

The application is for energy research, the circuit has to drive a 50 Ohm load.

Regarding to your application, I suggest you can use the ADA4870 in your circuit. It has a wide supply range of 10V to 40V, high output current drive of 1A, slew rate of 2500V/us and it is ideal for driving a low resistance load. You can also try adding RC circuit at the output of the buffer. This will help you control the rise/fall time of the pulse. Note that the time constant is equal to the product of R and C.
