I wish to know that, how to configure the RSSI and by using which register we can read the RSSI level in terms of dB or dBm?
Rx1 RSSI can be read from 0x1A7 and 0x1AB.
Rx2 RSSI can be read from 0x1A9 and 0x1AB.
RSSI is read in relative dB units. In order to convert the reading to absolute dBm units factory calibration is required.
Please refer to RSSI section in AD9361 Gain Control and RSSI User Guide for a detailed description of the RSSI function.
I tried to read the RSSI Value from those registers and i didn't get anything. When i read the value of that registers it is showing always 00 data.
Could you please guide me how to read RSSI Value?
I would recommend using our evaluation platform, configuring it for Rx, putting a valid signal in and reading back those registers.
Thanks for your reply.
I can't use your evaluation platform and i am measuring in custom board. Please correct if i am wrong. What are all other steps needs to consider when we read RSSI Data
Thanks for your information.
How to correlate the values with the data stored in particular values?
I read in the document it stores the value in absolute of dB, please help me how to correlate and how to converts in to dBm value?
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
It takes a factory calibration. You would apply a known signal amplitude and correlate it to RSSI relative dB level.
