Does anyone know of a way to adjust the frequency of the ADF4360-3 independent of the adjusting the reference, or the counter registers. Perhaps some topology that allows a small adjustment Vtune. The requirement is +/-2kHz or so.
I don’t think this is possible as any dc adjustment to Vtune would cause the PLL loop to compensate for it
The ADF4350 might be a solution as this part is a fractional-N PLL and hence allows finer output resolution.
Otherwise you are left with adjusting the reference. If you don’t have a VCXO, you can still pull a XO frequency
by adjusting the load capacitance.
