I saw the output noise density of ADRF6158 is -104.6dBV/Hz, but the unit in datasheet of ADRF6516 is dBV/sqrt(Hz), what is the different between? or just a print error in datasheet of ADRF6518, it should be dBV/sqrt(Hz)?

Hi Donald,

Let me confirm this, but I'm pretty sure it is dBV/sqrt(Hz). This is in contrast to the dBm/Hz that people have traditionally worked in.

This is because the dBV/sqrt(Hz) is basically just 20*log10() of the nV/sqrt(Hz) noise spectral density number. Whereas the dBm/Hz number is 10*log10() of the mW/Hz noise spectral density.

Update Aug. 14, 2014:

It indeed should be dBV/sqrt(Hz). The ADRF6518 datasheet is in error.
