I realize ADI offers Windows drivers to communicate with their USB2EBZ (USBi) board using SigmaStudio, but I'd like to use the adaptor directly under Linux to communicate to a WDZ A2B Master board over I2C. Using lsusb I can see the USBi adaptor packaged with the WDZ evaluation board:
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0456:7031 Analog Devices, Inc.
Unfortunately, I either need the details of the protocol used to communicate with the adaptor or a suitable Linux driver. The USBi seems to be a very similar board to what is offer by TotalPhase's Aardvark (Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter - Total Phase) and I was hoping I could use the USBi in a similar way under Linux. Can ADI offer any guidance (even unsupported) on how I can utilize the adaptor to access the WDZ A2B Master board with my Linux laptop. It seems that it should be very feasible provided details on the protocol used to communicate with the USBi (or a proper Linux driver).
Any help would be appreciated . . .
