Measuring the ADL5565 (ADC Driver)

Hey,

 

I am using the ADL5565 as an ADC Driver and I characterizing it before implementation. I have a few questions however.

 

I am using the EVAL board and I see there is an 11dB insertion loss associated with the network matching 200 ohms to 50 ohms. The data sheet however also says there is a 17dB insertion loss on page 24 in the description area. Is the 17dB with reference to a 10ohm source? I see that there is a voltage gain of 15.5dB when you measure after the voltage divider network however I am uncertain how to get power gain. I calculate a power gain of about 22dB which seems incorrect.

 

Also, I would like to characterize this device down to DC however it is AC coupled. I would like to know the limitations of DC coupling and whether it is necessary to use the bypass cap C12.
