Which is better NC pins of AD8488 are connected to DGND or AGND?
I have a quesion, why is it need NC pins are connected to GND?
In addition to this, Analog Front End used in x-ray systems like AD8488 needs to have a very low-noise in order to avoid distorting the desired signal. So if the NC pins are left floating, these may act as antennas which will probably receive unwanted signals. In order to prevent this scenario, we recommend to connect the NC pins to ground since ground is the reference of all the signals in your system.
Another reason is that the part, AD8488, is only guaranteed to work properly if and only if the NC pins are connected to ground.
AD8488 doesn't know where ground is. GND, either DGND or AGND, is only a reference of all voltages and these two grounds will always have a common-point or a common connection in the board thus having the same potential.
So for the NC pins, just connect it to AGND since there are so many AGND pins and AGND is nearer to the NC pins.
thank you for your information
