EVAL-ADIS - writing your own logging software?

Our company has purchased an ADIS16488 and an EVAL-ADIS evaluation system.

I set up the IMU Evaluation software and it appears to work well. Fantastic!

The next logical step would be to edit the evaluation software and take more control of or customise the data logging.

Other posts, however, appear to state that the data logging software is not available. True?

Has anyone figured out how to independently control and log data using the evaluation board? My preferred operating system would be Ubuntu and to use C/C++. I'd be happy to start somwhere and then migrate the solution.

All of this made me wonder what is the next logical step if the evaluation was successful and you want to prototype the next step. Is there a standard hardware harness and software framework for these kinds of sensors?

Yes, I am a beginner and I am trying to learn about this technology and gain some experience.

I'd appreciate your suggestions and guidance. Thank you!
