ADUC7029 Flash Protection Issue

Hi,

I have a question on the flash protection of the ADuC7029.

It seems that after programming the FEEPRO, the JTAG is not accessible (I can’t connect through JTAG probe anymore), but I am still able to connect and read back from the ADuC702x through the Serial Programmer through UART.

Is the protection below include the UART serial programmer or it only protect against JTAG?

If it only protect against JTAG, it means I will need to use part without the UART programming option to protect the flash from external read?

On the eval board, after mass erase, I run these code.

//Disable JTAG Read

//Protect the Bootloader flash section (0x80000 to 0x827FF) from write

FEEPRO = 0x7FFFFFE0;

FEEMOD |= 0x40;

FEEADR = FEEDPRO_SECURITY_PASSOWRD0;

FEEDAT = FEEDPRO_SECURITY_PASSOWRD1;

FEECON = 0x0C;

//Wait until the command is sucessful

while(true)

{

if( (FEESTA & 0x1) != 0)

{ break;}

}
