size of .dxe file after building the project

Hello;

I am using Quad ADSP-TS201 TigerSHARC PCI-X Board in my application. I got an example file along with the card that calculates the prime numbers. At first we used to write a code in Visual DSP++ 4.0, it is then compiled and after building we get its respective .dxe file.

The .dxe file is then taken and loaded into the Board using Visual C++ using its specified functions as External Host.

The problem is that the .dxe file given in the example is 9KB, and works fine with the Visual C++ application, but the .dxe file created after building my code example in Visual DSP++ 4.0 is 44KB and it does not work with the Visual C++ application when ever I tries to load it.

Can any body please explain what is wrong, as I am very new to Visual DSP++, what can be done in the compiler to reduce the size of .dxe file etc..

Will be waiting for your kind responses.

Regards;

Najam
