I'm looking for linux device drivers for the ADV7393 and teh ADV7441A. Can anyone help me locate these linux drivers?
This issue was handled through PM.
For the ADV7441A, we have driver source code available under license. This is not written specifically for Linux, but could be ported to Linux. For newer parts (ADV7604 and ADV7614) we have a more structured software driver set available under license.
For the ADV7393, there aren't drivers, but may be some programming scripts. I will need to look into this.
If you PM me with your email address, I can send you a Software License Agreeement for teh ADV7441A drivers.
I too am interested in the Linux code. I already have an NDA for the ADV7441A.
How do I contact you ?
We have a ADV7441A in production under Linux 2.6.18. We are trying to port this to 2.6.32 with difficulties. Do you have a Linux device driver for this Linux version?
If an NDA is needed please send it along.

We don't have Linux drivers for any version unfortunately. There are customers who have made Linux drivers for our parts and we have code (not really a driver per se) we can license under SLA but it's not really anything close to a Linux driver. You wrote the one you are using?
We are also interested in any code you have available for the ADV7441A. We already have an NDA in place, and are using this part in an existing product - now we are looking to include it in a new product and need Linux drivers. Can we get access to the code?
We recommend ADV7842 for new designs in place of ADV7441A in general. We have no Linux drivers for either part. We have old, unsupported, code for ADV7441A that is not a driver by any OS model but I don't think it would be useful to you.
We have an application stack (also not for Linux) for ADV7842 we make available under SLA as-is but it also bears no resemblance to a driver under any OS model.
There *IS* a linux driver for ADV7604 which is open source and already out there though. ADV7604 is between ADV7441A and ADV7842 in terms of release time with roughly the same feature set. That driver probably would be useful to you.
So what is this "application stack" available for ADV7842? What compiler is needed? For which ucontroller has it been designed and supported? What this app stack does?
In general, do you have an HDMI receiver that comes with source code for instantiating a microcontroller inside a FPGA to run the associated ADI code?
It can run on multiple CPUs and with multiple compilers. It's been run on ARMs and on our Blackfin that I'm aware of. It's not intended to be platform specific. You would have to port it to whatever your system is.
Its the same software that runs on our Blackfin-based evaluation boards. There are several different applications: HDMI Repeater and "TV", which is essentially software to manage the analog video formats, are the main two associated with our HDMI Rx/TX.
It would be provided as-is with no support available under SLA.
We have no source code which is tied specifically to an FPGA-instantiated CPU. I believe the code has been run on Microblaze in a Xilinx part before, but I'm not certain of that.
Is there a cheap $1.00 micro supported by Analog Devices? I am looking for a turn-key solution, not something I need to take refrence code, port, adapt, etc...
Nope, there is nothing like that unfortunately.
Not even your cheapest Blackfin?
The cheapest Blackfin could be that in volume. You'd have to ask your sales guy. I meant we dont' have a turn-key solution including software and everything for such a part. The cheapest blackfin is not the one we used on our boards so there would still be some porting.
It looks like we will use the ADV7842 in our new design – our software guys have found the ADV7604 driver which you mentioned – but the ADV7842 application stack would probably be useful to them as well. Can we get hold of this?
You'll have to sign an SLA, and no support is available. If that's acceptable then it's not a problem. Do you know who your ADI sales person is? That is usually who will start the SLA process.
We want the Driver for ADV7441A,
Can you please tell us how to get this.
