I have a new application that will use the SSM3302 to drive a 20 KHz test signal out onto a long audio line. I'm using the device in mono mode in a BTL configuration. There are times when the audio line will have real audio on them that could be seen by the SSM3302 outputs and basically look like a transient event. I will eventually be able to detect the 'real' audio and disconnect the SSM3302 from the line, however during the duration of my test tone, I'm susceptible to the presence of real audio for a short duration.
Can the SSM3302 handle this scenerio? Do I have to add protection to prevent damage or can it handle it? Worst case levels would be 25V rms in one application and 70V rms in another that the SSM3302 outputs would see.
