ADSP-BF526 EZ-board SPI/SPORT Interfaces

Hi there,

I'm using the ADSP-BF526 EZ-board and am building an Interface board using the EZ board's expansion interface.

I'm using P2 and P3 connectors of the expansion interface (sheet 12 on the schematic - see attached pic). I'd like to use the SPI port (P2, pins 21 - 28) and the SPORT0A interface (P2, pins 13 - 20), but I've noticed on the schematic that, for example, P2, Pin 16 (DRSEC of the SPORT) and P2, Pin 27 (SPI MISO) are connected to the same processor pin.

Do I take it that I can't use the SPORT and SPI simultaneously then? Isit possible to leave most of the SPI/SPORT connections where they are, but just replace this pin with another GPIO pin and bit-bash the SPI signal through?

Your advice/thoughts would be most appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Dave Kearney
