When EEdit saves the Script it offers Block Count=2.
What does it mean?
Block Count number is not described in EEdit Help.
Common EDIDs are comprised of the VESA block and the CEA block (count = 2). So when you write the script file it will have both 128 byte blocks in the script. The video chips usually only work with 256 bytes at a time.
So, if I set Block Count=1, then only CEA block or only VEAS block will be written into the script?
Only the VESA block will be written out. The VESA block has a byte defining how many blocks there are in the complete EDID file. So if you only want to get the script for the VESA block make sure there is no CEA block present.
