Does anyone know the answer for the above? I have been trying to obtain this information for sometime to write the specifcation for my AD9114 card design. Your help would be much appreciated.
The REF CLK inputs should be ac-coupled. The internal dc bias level at the REF CLK pins is roughly 2V dc per the data sheet. The maximum input swing is 1.5V pp. That's equivalent to a 1.25V to 2.75V swing on each REF CLK pin. The max input swing is probably conservative and could go higher but I don't encourage violating the data sheet specification. Note, ESD protection diodes would forward bias if the input swing at the pin exceeds the 3.3V supply rails.
I was aware of the 1.5Vpp max input swing spec but assumed it was only the maximum 'operating', not the absolute maximum rating (damage) level. OK, I will have to use this figure as absolute maximum rating as well. Many thanks for your help.
