PM108S Input voltage limit

The PM108S datasheet indicates that the absolute max input voltage is equal to the supply voltages. In our circuit the PM108S operating on a +/-5V supply. It is being driven by an op-amp with a +/-12V supply. There is a voltage divider in between them to keep the PM108S input below 5V. During turn-on, if the 12V comes before the 5V, the PM108 could experience a transient voltage above its supply, but this voltage would be current limited by a 10K resistor. Could this transient damage the device?
