Are there any OpAmps with defined sign of the offset voltage?
Unusual question. What kind of circuit do you have that requires this?
Most all op amp spec tables have a max offset voltage stated, such as "1mV" This has always
been understood to +/-1mV. You could select an op amp that has a max of 500 uV, which
should get you closer. If you are using the op amp inverting, you can always turn it into a
summing amp and add in a small offset so you would always have an output voltage that
thank you Harry. Application is a photodetector with a single supply OpAmp. Constant offset would do no harm but has to have the right polarity.
Got it. If this is a TIA running on split supplies, then you can take the offset out in software.
