In AD-FMCOMMS3-EB i found that one ADC used and its part number is AD7291BCPZ. I want to know the purpose of this ADC and its functionality?
Please provide information on this.
The AD7291 is an ADC that is used to monitor the various supply voltages on the board.
If you have a multimeter the same function can be done by simply checking these voltages and make sure they are what they supposed to be.
This part has 8 inputs and only 6 inputs are used.
I hope this answers your question.
The ADC monitors power supply voltages. I will have FPGA Reference Design answer how and to what extent it is used in the hardware platform.
Moved to FPGA Reference Designs.
Thanks for your reply.
i understood why its used in AD9361 Board.
By using this ADC where we can monitor voltages?
I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are asking me.
"By using this ADC where we can monitor voltages?"
Are you asking me what voltages you should monitor?
Or can you monitor any voltage?
i am asking by using this ADC we can read voltages, that what i understood and coming my point, i asked how to monitor these voltages? like in any GUI it will display or suppose i want to know some particular voltage?
how to see in our program or somewhere els?
Thanks in advance.
It's available (unscaled) in the IIO scope, which you can run on the Zynq board directly.
