I am going to use the ADG1204 in my design, but one of the channels (S4) is not to be used. I am planning to terminate it to ground to avoid noise.
Should I do that? Or Will it be ok if I left it open?
Thank you for your time.
The supply voltages are +15V and -15V.
thanks for the answer.
What supply voltage(s)??
For any analog or digital input, I never leave them floating. You can tie it to ground, but on any
analog parts that run on plus and minus voltages, you may have a problem with power supply
sequencing resulting in latchup. So I would tie it to ground through a 1k-10k resistor.
Another idea is to tie it (again through a resistor) to a fixed voltage that you might want to
monitor. Ground (no signal) is also good.
