BF561 EBIU vs. BF60x DMC

Hello,

I am looking at the differences between the BF561 external bus interface unit (EBIU) and the BF60x dynamic memory controller (DMC) and i am struggling to understand the differences.

From the BF60x datasheet i see that it calls out that it can support LPDDR and DDR2.

From the BF561 datasheet i see that it calls out that it can support any PC-133 memory.

I have been looking to understand the differences and are there any limitations that memory types which aren't cross compatible with both of these Blackfin Processors.

Can you please let me know.  My primary question is can SDRAM be used with the BF60x family?  Also from Analog Devices point of view, which memory choice do you believe offers the lowest cost external L3 memory solution.
