how we make a Blackfin board /device SNMP enabled
SNMP is implemented at the application layer, and is typically a feature of the selected Ethernet stack. In VisualDSP++ ADI provides a port of the lwIP stack ( lwIP v.1.4.0 as of VisualDSP++ 5.0 Update 10.1), and we also provide an lwIP Add-In for CrossCore Embedded Studio (lwIP v1.4.1 as of the release of version 1.0.1 of the lwIP Add-In for CrossCore Embedded Studio).
The lwIP stack has supported SNMP since version 1.2.0. For more information, please refer to the information where the open-source lwIP stack is maintained at Savannah or on the lwIP Wiki.
If you use a different stack, please refer to their documentation or support channels for information on the availability of this protocol.
could u explain how we can compile net-snmp with uc linux for bf537 stamp board . right now i have ported the uclinux on bf537 stamp board but unable to use snmp command (e .g. snmpwalk)
As you are using uClinux, your question would be best posted to the Linux Distribution for Blackfin community.
