I want to use AD9361 for wide band operation. For RF ports interfaces can anyone please help me to choose wide band transformer for Tx and RX path or is there any technique to do our own Transformer for wide band.
Now i reduced my frequency band of operation is 70 MHz - 3 GHz please five suggestions to select better transformer for wideband operation..i observed in RF interface document, RX ports having different impedance through out band but how to use one transformer for whole band? if i use same TCM1-63AX+ from 70 MHz-3GHz will it be impact on receiver like Noise figure, SNR or any other parametrs and in Transmitter if we use same transformer will it deliver +8 dBm output power?
It would be helpful if you provided the operating frequency range.
My frequency band of operation is 30 MHz - 6000 MHz. i found in Mini circuits which was used in Eval board. Can i use same for Receiver and transmitter.
Ideally, you want to select optimum impedance ratio transofrmer for your matching network. It helps to segment the frequency range based on different impedances and use more than one Rx input/ Tx output.
i am planning to use Mini circuits transformer for my wideband operation. If i use this for wideband will it creates any impedances mismatch at certain frequencies? bcoz of this is there any issue other than insertion loss?
Match will vary over frequency. My recommendation would be to put options in the schematic/layout for a differential PI pad that will allow you to optimize the match after your design is fabricated. You can also verify matching performance in simulation using Rx input impedance s-parameters and manufacturer supplied transformer s-parameters. In order to arrive at an accurate result you should simulate with your board layout as part of your the simulation circuit (EM cosimulation).
