I am trying to implement this reference design so I can use my AD-FMCJESDADC1-EBZ on my ML605 Development board. The problem I'm having is that both the HDL 2.0 and HDL 1.0 design links don't contain any documents for the ML605. I only see 7 series folders. Can someone explain how I can get 6 series documentation and design files?

My intent is to use the ADC to capture RF data, take the FFT of the input data sequence in the Virtex6 and plot the output on my computer. This would be a basic spectrum analyzer. Will I be able to start with this reference design and use it to get the ADC data to my FFT block? I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time with the reference design if I can't use it to complete the design goal.

I noticed the reference design (looked through the 7 series stuff) includes several design files for FFT related things. What is the reference design implementing? I thought it was just a bridge to get data from the ADC to the Virtex, nothing more. What are the FFT blocks being used for? What data should I expect out of the ADC? Is it more then digitized 14 bit wide time sequence data?

AD-FMCOMMS1-EBZ and AD-FMCJESDADC1-EBZ are different boards.

I am guessing you are asking about FMCOMMS1.

The FFT core is just an offline FFT module - because this core can not meet the bandwidth of ADC.

If your FFT module is exepecting raw samples and is capable of running at 250MHz throughput (2 samples per clock) you can simply connect the ADC to it.
