Right now I'm trying to get started on a Kernel 3.10 with socketCAN on a BF537.
There's a neat site about the topic (http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=linux-kernel:drivers:bfin_can).
For CAN configuration you need the ip tool, which should be buildable with buildroot. So should be the SocketCAN utils for testing.
But the options for socketCAN and iproute2 are not selectable because both depend on BR2_USE_MMU. And a MMU is not available for my cpu.
Can you suggest a workaround for this problem?
