I have seen in the evaluation board ADAU1701MINI that a 40V 3A PNP transistor (Q1) is being used for the drive of the IC’s on-board regulator. Other than, in the ADAU1701 datasheet it is stated that the maximal current flowing through the digital pins is 60mA. Is there a special reason such a big capability current transistor is being used? Could I replace without any problems with a lower current rate transistor (for example, a BC857)?
Thanks in advance!
