SPORT DMA simulator problem using adsp-21478

I am trying to use the simulator for the 21478 to verify the SPORT DMA with streams. I modified one of my existing programs I originally wrote for the 21065L. Before I modified it, I checked it again using the simulator in VisualDSP 5.1 and it worked perfectly. After migration towards the 21478 (change in PCI bit, etc.), the simulation does not work, anymore, i.e., the TCB is not loaded when the chain pointer register is written, and  hence, dma is not starting. Using the 21065L, everything is fine, the TCB is loaded when the chain pointer register is loaded. I also double checked this using one of the examples (\Program Files (x86)\Analog Devices\VisualDSP 5.1\214xx\Examples\SHARC Audio EZ-EXTENDER\21489 SPDIF to Analog TalkThru with SRC (C)) and experienced the same problem. DMA is not initiated using the simulator. Is there anything special to consider? Why does it work under 21065L and not under 21478?
