Amplitude Modulation in digital domain with DDS

Could any one suggest a suitable, simple, no-frills and cost-effective DDS which can support amplitude modulation in digital domain?

The carrier frequency is less than 25MHz and the modulating signal frequency max.1MHz, with full range of modulation index.

External micro will write modulating data (parallel or serial) to the modulation/gain registers in the DDS periodically.

I know I can do it with an external digitally controlled VGA but would prefer this function built in the DDS itself.
