I would like to know the major differences between HSC-ADC-EVALCZ and HSC-ADC-EVALDZ, ADC evaluation systems.
Is the SPI driver library also updated along with this?
The key differences are summarized in the respective capture board's features tables provided on our High Speed ADC Data-Capture and Software Tools Portal located at http://www.analog.com/en/analog-to-digital-converters/ad-converters/products/cu_high-speed_adc_fifo_evaluation_tools/fca.html
The Virtex6 based HSC-ADC-EVALDZ primarily supports our newer JESD-204B output format High Speed ADCs released since 2012, while the Virtex4 based HSC-ADC-EVALCZ primarily supports our parallel CMOS and LVDS output format High Speed ADC's released since 2007.
The HSC-ADC-EVALCZ utilizes a dedicated Cypress USB controller interface, while the HSC-ADC-EVALDZ utilizes our own ADI BlackFin DSP to control the USB interface back to the PC.
Installing our free VisualAnalog and SPI_Controller software tools also installs all the necessary USB and SPI interface drivers necessary to recognize and communicate properly with the appropriate ADC Evaluation Brd/Data Capture Brd combination.
There's also a High Speed ADC Eval Brd to Data-Capture Board Compatibility/Lookup Table provided on the Portal Link provided above.
