Despite installing the software first, the device is not installing correctly when plugging it in. I'm on Windows 7, and have gotten the board to communicate with Windows XP fine. What are some steps I can take to remedy this?
The software available to download from the evaluation board page is compatible with Windows 7:
Please try this version of the software and confirm if you have been able to install it.

I have the same problem and the problem still remain if I use the software downloaded at your's suggested link see below:
the software and the driver have been successfully installed and the board is correctly recognized by the PC (Win 7 - 32 bit) but, when I start the software whit the board connected (the green led is ON), the following message appear:
what do I have to do?
Best regards and thank you in advance for your answer...
It is important to note that the software must be installed before the board is attached via USB.
I recommend that you disconnect the board from the system and uninstall the program using the Control panel.
After you have completed these steps, reinstall the updated software from the web and then connect the board via usb.
I can't find:
In the folder C:\Windows\inf, delete:
but in the folder C:\Windows\inf the following two files was installed the same day when the evaluation software was installed on my pc:
Best regards and thank you for your help...
I do not know what the files you have found are for; I do not suggest removing them.
If the files I have mentioned are not there, proceed as if you have deleted them.
I.e. Reinstall the software and then connect the board.
I have impleented the suggested procedure (without deleting the .inf and .PNF file) but the results is the same (see below);
I wanted to report you, in order to help you in the diagnosis of the problem, a strange behavior:
after trying the suggested procedure, I have installed the AD7745 / AD7746 Evaluation Software and I have tryed to run the EVAL-AD7747EBZ with it;
with this setup, the connection works good (see below):
if I click ok the board start to works properly (see below: this happen when I touch the central pin of connector CIN1+ ):
have you adveces for me?...
Thank you and best regards...
If the device is working with the AD7746 software on the same computer it should work with the AD7747 software.
