I would like to ask you about R1, R2 value on EVAL-ADM3053EBZ.

According to a schematic ( http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/user_guides/UG-234.pdf )

R1, R2 are 60 ohm each.

But BOM list on page 8, these value are 30 ohm each. Actually, R1, R2 are 30ohm each on EVAL-ADM3053EBZ.

But I suppose R1, R2 should be 60ohm each since CAN termination register value is 120ohm as usual.

How should I think about this? Some customers bought this EVAL and ask me about this.

Thank you for highlighting this discrepancy. The schematic will need to be updated to match the BOM.

A properly terminated CAN network should have 120 Ohms termination at each end (each termination can be split into two 60 Ohm resistors).

The evaluation board is fitted with 60 Ohms (30 + 30) to simulate the load on the driver of a properly double-terminated CAN bus (120 and 120 in parallel gives the 60 ohm load).

The datasheet for the ADM3053 also has a driver test with 45 Ohm load, to simulate the load from the maximum number of nodes as well.
